An international company with hundreds of divisions and departments allover the world, Volvo trucks in Belgium was developing its maintenance contract business. Even if a lot of existing systems partially delivered the requested information for following up and operations, while a new system was developed, an Access database connected to the data in these systems provided extra flexibility and departmental strength.
Starting from dynamic tables fed by the AS400 system, the Access database included forms for "local" data and output ranging from regular Access reports to word documents containing contact change addenda. |
